Football Club will take place on a Wednesday afternoon and will be split into Years 1, 2 & 3 and Y4, 5 & 6 – alternating weeks for this half term.

Y123 – 8^th & 22^nd January and 5^th February

Y456 – 15^th & 29^th January

Miss Fuller begins as class teacher in Class 1, we wish her good luck. Mrs. Gibson also begins her new role as Senior Teacher this term.

The PPA cover in classes 2 & 3 will change slightly with Mrs. Downing taking Class 2 on a Wednesday afternoon and myself taking Class 3 on a Thursday afternoon.

The children in Class 3 will take part in D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) this term. This is delivered by a trained D.A.R.E. Officer. The content covered includes drug and alcohol awareness, knife crime and skills to enable the children to deal with potentially tricky situations. This covers many aspects of the Personal Social Health Education statutory curriculum that comes into effect this year. This will be a weekly 1 hour session on a Thursday afternoon when I am in Class 3. More information will be set out to Class 3.

There will be no Merits this week.

Diary dates and further information on the class curriculums will be sent out during the first week. Looking forward, Open Evenings are on Monday and Tuesday 20^th & 21^st January.
