This week

Good afternoon,

The children seem to have enjoyed the skateboard and scooter days as well as the Y6 having their sailing day, great to be being able to provide these opportunities again.

Next week sees the overnight camp on Thursday and the activity day on Friday for all Y2 to Y6, and yes, all children are taking part which is tremendous!

You should have just received an email invite to Merits tomorrow afternoon.

The lunch menu is Week 3.

Tuesday

At 6.00pm on I will be making the RSE material available virtually for parents of children in Class 3 to view. This will last about 30-40 minutes and the invite will be sent out to Class 3 parents only. The materials are the same as have been used previously, so parents who have seen it before, do not need to attend, but are more than welcome to.

Thursday

Children who are camping need to bring a bag with their kit in and leave it in the school hall. Normal uniform will be worn during the day, but the children will change at 3.30pm ready for their afternoon/evening activities to begin. I will be speaking with the children tomorrow about sleeping arrangements, this is really tricky to sort out and I hope we can do the best to please everyone. There will be some further info out next week about arrangements, but the booklet attached has most of the info you need.

Friday

Y2 to Y6 will have their activity day and Y2 will not go swimming. The end of the day will be a normal 3.30pm and children will be dismissed as usual.

Y1 children will go swimming as normal.

Please make booking for EarlyBirds and Afterschool to office@sturton.notts.sch.uk by 3.30pm tomorrow. Thank you for getting this info to us by then, it helps our organisation and staffing arrangements.

Please remember that there is no Afterschoool on Monday 12th July due to whole school staff training.

Have a safe, enjoyable and peaceful weekend, knowing that Saturday evening might be a little more football themed than usual!!

Regards

Mark
