This week

Good morning,

Tomorrow (Friday) is Children In Need – Dress Down Friday. Donations will be collected by the SAS at the front of school. The children in Y1 will not need to be in PE kits, they will do bare-foot PE in the hall in the afternoon (no need to change for any of Class 1).

Merits will be at 9.00am as normal in the morning.

Please make bookings for wraparound care to office@sturton.notts.sch.uk by 3.30pm tomorrow. This is important and helps us with staffing for the following week.

Lunch menu will be Week 3.

Monday

Individual photos – younger/pre0school siblings are welcome to come to the hall from 8.40am to have their photo taken too. All children will have an individual and a sibling photo.

Tuesday

Games Club with Miss Rowbottom. This will be the final one this term.

Wednesday

Sports Club with Coach Zak

Makaton Choir with Miss Newboult

Thursday

Striders with Mr. Elliott

Friday

Merits is on at 9.00am as normal

You may have spotted that the minibus is back with us. It is currently undergoing it’s MOT and service followed by the re-application of the signage. Good to have it back.

Looking ahead:

We are currently preparing for the Christmas Fayre and Santa’s little helper is wrapping the gifts for the Grotto. Santa has been in touch and he is a confirmed visitor!

We are now requesting donations so for the Christmas Fayre. Thank you for those that have come in so far. We are looking for donations for the raffle prizes. There is an adult raffle and a child raffle. You will remember from previous years that we have some pretty good prizes and they are worth winning!

We also will have a tombola stall, this uses lots of small prizes and is always very popular. Again, donations for this would be greatly appreciated.

Another popular stall is the cake stall, donations for the cake stall should be brought in on the day (29th November), but to help us plan, please let us know if you plan to do some baking. We find that individual cakes/slices/traybakes are best, as people can then buy a selection.

All of the money raised is spent on the children and so we always try to make as much as possible.

The box for donations is in the hall entrance. We appreciate all the help and generosity from our school community.
