This week

Good morning,

Here we are beginning week three of this term already, where does time go? We have quite a few children in school with colds and sniffles. We are continuing to remind about good hand hygiene and sneezing/coughing into had, arm or tissue, and I know that you are reminding your children at home too. We continue to be careful and everyone has a part to play in keeping Coronavirus at bay and stopping any chance of transmission. Things are getting back to normal and we look forward to things continuing to improve as we go through the term.

Open Evening appointments that were requested have now been sent out by email, if you have not received yours, please contact school.

Thank you to the people who completed the short school lunch survey. The finding were very useful and the Governors along with Mr. Rogers and myself have arranged a meeting with the person responsible for creating the school lunch menu. I look forward to sharing the outcome of the meeting with you in due course.

The lunch menu is Week 1.

Please make bookings for EarlyBirds and Afterschool to office@sturton.notts.sch.uk by 3.30pm on Friday (tomorrow). As I informed you last week, places are limited as more children are needing the provision.

Monday

We now have Worship in the hall together once a week. The classes as still sat apart, but it is the start of returning to normal.

Tuesday

Class 2 Activity Day – normal uniform top half, trousers and sensible shoes for the bottom half – warm, waterproof coat is required too.

Open Evening –

To ensure the safety of everyone please remember these steps we have put in place:

  1. Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment time and enter through the car park doors to wait in the entrance (or carpark if the weather is good) to be called
  2. If possible, do not bring your children
  3. Please wear a face covering whilst in school and sanitise hands upon entry and exit of the building
  4. You will be called to meet the teachers, they will be in their classrooms and Miss Newboult will be in the library at the front of school
  5. At the end of the 10 minutes a sound will indicate the time is up, we ask that you leave promptly through the front door of school so we can prepare for the next appointment.

Your patience and understanding in this is very much appreciated as we work to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Wednesday

Class 1 Activity Day - normal uniform top half, trousers and sensible shoes for the bottom half – warm, waterproof coat is required too.

Thursday
